The following website contains the initial skill building work of students who have just commenced the National Diploma In Media course at Suffolk New College. During the first half term the students have undertaken short projects in some of the areas their course will encompass namely Film and TV Production, Radio and Photography.
This blog acts as a portal to all of their work and shows off their creativity and hands on production skills in all of these areas. For Film and TV Production they have been taught how to create a short video sequence of an 8-shot jourmey from inital ideas and knowledge and understanding through to shooting and editing their own video piece. For the radio element the students produced their own jingles and idents for radio shows learnign how to creatively use the sound software. Finally for the photography project the students built their own pinhole cameras and used them to take their own photographs learning about the fundamentals of photography as they went along.
